For myself, not much has happened. Last year was very hectic with lots of tunnels and rocks along railroads. In fact, our company has been more busy than ever, in a time when most other companies lay off their staff or go bust completely. So it's been quite a relief to be in the stiff condition of the ketchup bottle right now, not much to do except maintenance.
Otherwise I've kept myself very busy doing architectural safaris in my home town. So many funny little details I never noticed before! It's swollen into a semi-arts project where I intend to document all architectural decorations in the city; I even put my youtube account to use to share my findings with a sceptical world. Yes, it's been done before and much better, but not in a completist way. When I say all I mean _ALL_. Not just a selection of the finest or most peculiar. Or just lions, of which there are surprisingly many.

Health-wise, not much has happened to me. Sweden has not done well in the pandemic. We have to seriously revise our smug view of ourselves as best in the world at everything - we are in fact quite a lot worse than most countries when it matters. If only we had been Finns, or Norwegians! Or even British, at least they have had proper lockdowns. Here in socialist utopia, pretty much the full weight of responsibility for reducing transmission rates has fallen on the individual rather than the state or regional authorities taking control. Sometimes I think we drew the short European straw and were given the role as control group: what happens if almost no regulations are applied? Oh well, the third wave is finally receding and we're now looking forward to the fourth in a couple of months, at the latest when the schools start again.
