Bugs galore

This has been one year for shots. Or jabs, as the British call it. First two covid ones (ouch ouch) and yesterday the TBE refill (also ouch).
That's one disease I don't want to catch. Nasty bugs that spread it, it's even in the disease name, Tick-Borne Encephalitis. Ugh. We have lots of ticks here and in our area there's lots of Lyme Disease and TBE. Plus my work often entails wading through forests and underbrush.
In school I once did a biology project on ticks, to try to counter my disgust for them. It didn't help... there was even a whole book about them in the library. Don't read it!
Kinda like my interest in nuclear weapons, as a way to face the extreme existential terror they created in my youth. That's just really scary but not creepy (crawley).
